Fremont Indians

Fremont Indian State Park was a Campground was a fun find! It's located about 21 miles southwest of Richfield, 180 miles south of Salt Lake City. Ruins from a large ancient Fremont Indian Village were uncovered during construction of Interstate 70 in the 1980's. The campground is nestled in a cool canyon near the visitor center. And the camping fee includes access to the museum and trails with a bunch of great Native American rock Art. Our family really enjoyed stopping in the museum to explore and learning more about the Fremont Indian's. Our Campsite was right next to a sight with a TeePee which was way cool for us to play in. Next time it might be fun to book a sight with a TeePee to sleep in. There were restrooms and drinking water but no showers at this campground. It cost $13 a night. We hiked a simple fun trail right near the campground, it was perfect for our family.
