End of the Year 2017
– 2017 Has been a growing year –
We are learning to "Rise Above our Excuses"
James has been joyfully building and growing his business BLIP, with some challenges, but mostly with great success! Alongside his friend and partner Brent.
Angie I continue to be actively engaged in the study of health and nutrition, photography, and Family Adventures! I am continuing my search for headache relief. I am in search of pain free days at any price! Sometimes it is hard for me to deal with my pain, and most of the time it is hard for me to accept my pain in front of others.
I have learned that talking about it and journaling about it, The Good and the Bad – All the Real stuff, is a good thing.
Sam has had a good attitude as he tackles the challenges of 3rd grade math and advances in his Dual Chinese language program. He seems to be having quite a tough time this year in his math and language studies. 3rd Grade is HARD! Sam tells me that Mrs. Wu is the nicest Chinese teacher that he has had thus far. And he seems to be most comfortable with Mrs. Allstrum in his English classroom. Sam just turned 9 years old and celebrated his birthday with a friend party at Hangtime. He was most excited - and said that it was the "BEST birthday EVER!" Sam's best friend from school is Trevor T. And mom is most happy about this friendship, because we just love the T. family. Sam has a very sensitive, kind and respectful spirit. He is close to his Heavenly Father, and always remembers to pray and speak with his father at night.
Luke started Full day kindergarten this year. We are really happy about his teacher Mrs. Hooker and Mrs. Murry. It's been super fun to see Sam and Luke getting involved and taking pride in their school. Luke is age 5. He sure has grown up a lot this year and has been acting like such a BIG boy. He has been learning so much academically and socially at school. I am excited for Luke to make some friendships at school and gain a little confidence in his "Fun Factor". We are looking forward to a fun friend birthday party at the end of this month. This winter has been a hard season for Luke, because he has been sick A LOT! Luke just received a note from Doctor Clayton excusing him from school for the whole month of December. It's been a long streak of sickness. He seem's to be struggling quite a bit with his immune system. He also seems to be struggling with some anxiety issues at school. I would like to volunteer in his classroom very soon, to observe him in the day to get a feel for what he is experiencing throughout the day. I hope that Luke can make some friendship soon, because I feel like that will help him find comfort at school. Luke is strengthening his personal relationship with his heavenly father. He often times is the one reminding us to pray at meal time before we eat.
Bryce age 4, is in his first year of pre-school, and he loves it! He wishes he could go every day. Bryce is full of energy and animation. He runs at 110% all the time - I wish I could have just a little piece of him to fuel me for the day. He is my best helper of all! He is just like a shadow, he likes to be with me – helping me cook, helping me clean, doing crafts, grocery shopping, and cracking eggs. Bryce and Carter have a Love/Hate relationship. They are the ones that fight the most in our family, but they are the ones that are inseparable. They are Best Buddies, and it is super cute!
Carter is at a favorite age 2. He is a little chatter box. It is so fun to see he communicates so well with each of us. He is so kind and loving. It is super fun to watch him try and keep up with all his older brothers. He really does such an excellent job being strong, brave and independent. Carter is a BIG fan of reading stories at nap time and bedtime. He has a favorite blankie, and he loves to request a couple of night time songs "Twinkle Twinkle" and "I am a child of God". Carters most favorite thing to see at the front door is his grandma Carolyn and her Car OooHaHa.
