When you are afraid

When you are afraid; think, what is the worst that can happen?

"Remember, the universe is abundant and wants you to have all that you want. You block the flow of opportunity, creation and miracles when you’re afraid. Instead, you can use your energy to remind yourself who you are at your best and highest self?
Ask yourself, WHAT IS THE BEST THAT CAN HAPPEN?" - Susie Moore

I like this quote a lot because it motivates me to make a shift in my life, in my everyday thinking.
If we can think - what is THE BEST that can happen VS. what is THE WORST that can happen. I believe there will be a lot more opportunity and happiness in  life.
As my optimistic husband often reminds me - "Give them the benefit of the doubt". I need to consciously choose  the brighter side of life, or the "UP" side. Stay on the Sunny Side, always on the sunny side.
I recently read an article that talked about setting up cues in your mind, in order to remind yourself to take a different approach.
For example -
• when you feel like someone is being closed minded  • that is a cue to be curious and not on the defense.
• when you hear someone shaming another  • let that be a cue to speak words of acceptance.
• when you witness someone acting hostile  • that is a cue to be a peacemaker.
• when someone acts superior and is overbearing  •  that is a cue to gain more understanding.
• When you find someone that is quick to judge  • let that be a cue to remember that we are all imperfect and we would rather be loved and accepted than judged.
• when someone is gossiping  •  let that be a cue that we all need to show more respect and love towards each other.
