A Seed of FAITH . . .

I BELIEVE – I Have a Hope in Things Not Seen.
I would like to begin by writing about something I believe in. Because it's important to look back at the basic foundation. In between all the added details, opinions, and clutter it's good to look inside yourself and reflect on the things that your heart truly believes.
I have Faith in a church that is founded upon the rock of revelation. "Continuous revelation is the very life blood of the gospel of Jesus Christ."
More specifically – I have faith and hope, I believe that God communicates with His children. He communicated with His children in times of old, and He continues to communicate with His children today. God communicates with His children on many different levels. He communicates with us through a prophet and through apostles, but most importantly he communicates with us directly. We are His children, we are divine and he loves us. We can speak with Him at any time, out loud, and in our hearts. Prayer is this wonderful gift of communication with our Father.

"Prayer Has a Purpose – It's a means of connection for us to share our highs and lows with our Father. It's how we talk to Him. It's how we engage in good communication.”
“God may be all-knowing, but I don't believe that makes Him a know-it-all. He wants to hear about our lives from our perspectives. He wants us to articulate our joys, our sorrows, our questions, our worries, things only we can express. He wants us to talk to Him so that He can get to know where our hearts are and so that we can get to know His. God maybe all-knowing but I don't believe that makes Him a know it all."

This is an interesting read for me about the purpose of prayer. Most of the time it does feel like God is a know it all. And sometimes that makes it hard to pray about the real things in my heart. Because why should I speak, if God already knows?
After reading this article "The 3 P's That Changed My perspective on Talking to God", it really changed my perspective. I really had been struggling with my communication with God, recently.
This is a good reminder – I have been reminded that there is a real purpose in articulating and sharing my true feelings with my Father, because real communication fosters a real relationship.

"Prayer is a Privilege – Prayer is one of the most precious gifts of God to man" Prayer is a way in which we can feel the Holy Spirit. Prayer is a way we can silence the world and dial in heaven. Prayer is the method in which God's miracles happen in our lives.

I feel that Prayer is a gift and a privilege. It is a gateway to a peaceful and a hopeful place. And I am grateful for this gift of communication with my father, with my God, with my creator.
