DO the Daith . . .
? Migraine Relief ?
I pierced my Daith – OUCH, right! Totally OOOOOUCH!
I pierced my Daith – OUCH, right! Totally OOOOOUCH!
I was thinking . . . . What do I have to lose?
It is 2017, and Yes Daith piercing is of great popularity, also it looks pretty dang cute.
But that is not my drive for such a tiny torture. My daily chronic migraines are the soul motivator for such abuse.
It all started when I happened upon a KSL news report detailing the relationship between acupuncture and migraine relief. They talked about their study of the Daith piercing as something that could relieve migraine pain just the same. And Perhaps it could be something with a more permanent effect. I jumped into some research on the mysterious Daith piercing. According to the "Latest Migraine News Report", I learned that 46% percent of migraine suffers report a reduction in migraine severity, by piercing their Daith. That's practically 50%! And for an affordable price $75. Whoa! My wheels started to turn.
What do I have to lose? A few tears? It's totally worth it. I have tried everything else I can think of.
– Seriously every 3 months, I'm wondering if my Botox injections from my neurologist will clear my bank account each time that happens. The cost is outrageous. Beside that, Botox only treats the symptoms not the cause of the pain.
The price of the Daith $75, I won't even notice that hit the bank.
After talking to a few experience Daith Strangers . . . . . the word on the street is – it works!
It's time to move forward and Do the Daith.
I found a nice little piercing parlor near Liberty Park, down town SLC. It has great reviews online about this husband and wife that run their business together. They have beautiful jewelry, etc.
I put my brave hat on and headed into the city.
I must say that my bravery wore off very quickly! As soon as I walked into this cute blue cement piercing parlor, my face turned white as a ghost. The parlor was very beautiful and unique in decor. All the while, I was standing among 5 to 6 other women that all had MANY funky piercings and LOTS of artistic tattoos. Honestly, I place no judgement anywhere, I just never imaged I would find myself in this place. It is all interesting to me, but not my style. I made a friend a talked about her piercings, she showed me which ear piercing was her favorite. Then she went onto say it's an addiction, and I will be back for more.
I probably spent over an hour at the glass window case trying to decide on which simple ring to place in my Daith. I liked the white gold ring the best, but the price was too rich for me. I really wanted a tiny little dot, or a diamond, or a star. Something that nobody would notice. I was informed, for your first piercing you need to get a loop to leave space around your Daith for expanding and swelling. So now I have a Daith in my right ear and I really hope that it helps reduce my migraine pain!
For today it is working as a diversion. That's exactly what it is! IT'S A DIVERSION! A DISTRACTION! My ear HURTS so bad! The pain from my piercing is so INTENSE that – Yeah, for real I am not even thinking about my migraine. All I can think about is MY EAR PAIN!
