Piano Tears

Last Night I attended my 1st Ever - Piano recital for 7 year old Sam.
Sam arrived quietly with tears in his eyes (hiding them of coarse). At first sight of Abby, his piano teacher he felt quick emotion so he decided to take a walk around the christmas tree. He then admired the christmas train on the floor. After some time his grandma and grandpa Munn arrived and he felt more pressure and emotion, but also a great sense of love, support and happiness.
Sam and I spoke no words - but I gave him an encouraging hug and let him take it all in. We found a a place to sit, then one of Sam's friends Owen sat next to him and calmed his little heart.
We enjoyed watching the children take part in the Christmas recital, in Abby's home. In the end Sam felt good about his part in the program and he loved it! He said it was fun! He felt accomplished and we are so happy about the results.
Sam really enjoys his piano teacher Abby. She has such a soft gentle nature that speaks so well with him. Sweet Abby comes to our house once a week and sits with Sam for 30 minutes to help him learn to play the piano. We are so lucky to have her!
