Merry Christmas
This year was a great Christmas! Sam had the Christmas excitement/anxiety built up inside him for the first time, it was super fun to see him so excited. A little Santa brought Walle and Eve for Sam. He was super duper excited to get the exact toys that he asked for. A little Santa brought a standup musical toy for Luke, now he can stand and play and strengthen his leg muscles all at the same time. Way Cool!
After celebrating Christmas morning at our house we headed to my mom's (Grandma C's) for her traditional Christmas Breakfast Feast. Mmmm Mmmm Good! Grandma C got Sam some cool new trucks. And for Luke some fun musical toys (a guitar and stereo). And for mom and dad a new sink for our newly remolded basement. She so good about thinking of the cute practical things – MOM a.k.a. our totally awesome interior decorator.
After Grandma C's house we went over to Grandpa and Grandma J's house for a yummy delicious lunch. Another tradition we always look forward to. Sam and Luke got some new books from Gandma Jo a.k.a. the Book Grandma. I read one of Sam's new books to him "The Velveteen Rabbit". It's a cute book with a really good message, but I think Sam will enjoy it when he's a little older. I tried to explain to him the purpose of the story but all he could think about was the literal event, the pore rabbit who almost got burned because he was old. We will have to try again – I will need to explain that part of the story before we read it again.
Luke had a fun time with Grandpa, he is always intrigued with his goofy grandpa.
