Color Festival @ the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple

We finally made it happen, we made it to the wonderful color festival! It was a beautiful sunny Saturday and we had so much fun. Luke was left behind with a baby sitter this year, but we will definitely bring him next year. This is one of the funnest celebrations of the year, although I am not quite sure what it means. I think it is a celebration of Spring returning and a reminder that we are so blessed to have life. It was so fun to celebrate with so many people, and it was especially fun to celebrate with Troy, Melissa, Aliyah, and Gavin.

We had to really prepare Sam for the Color festival days before the actual event. We tried to explain and convince him that getting color all over us will be fun. Mom explains- "Sam we will wear clean white shirts and we want to come home looking like rainbows." 

On our walk towards the temple we got splattered with our first color, yellow. Sam sure didn't like the idea of getting dirty. But soon we handed Sam a bag of his favorite color blue, then he changed his whole attitude about the color festival. We had blast!
