Bed Rest - week #4

Bed Rest is super boring, but I feel very blessed that I am feeling so great. I am happy, in good health, and our family is being fed very well. – Thanks to our wonderful ward members, friends, and family.
I am getting pretty anxious to hold my little baby. I can't stop thinking about him every minute.
When I start to think about something else he is quick to remind me that he is there. Luke loves to stretch out horizontally in my belly. He pushes out with all the strength he can muster. His feet push against the right side of my belly and his body is pushed against the left side of my belly. Luckily it all happens beneath my rib cage so it is not painful. It does make me look like a mis-shaped oval cookie, it's pretty entertaining. I can't really blame the little guy, he has to be pretty cramped at this point.
Today we had another appointment.
My amniotic fluid level on Tuesday was a whopping 9, yay! Things are slowly building up. Well today it measured a low 5 again, boo! Things are not building up. Basically my fluid level has not been consistent since we measured at 32 weeks gestation; therefore, the doctors will continue to measure fluid, monitor the baby's heart rate, and measure the baby's growth until he comes out. 36 weeks gestation is right around the corner and I feel so lucky that my baby is still baking in the oven.
I will continue the bed rest routine until the baby comes. The baby's heart continues to beat strong and he is fully developed and healthy. He just needs a bit more time to put on some fat. We are feeling very optimistic about his health and development.
James and I are feeling a bit sad for our sweet Sam. Sam has had croup this week. He is so cooped up and he misses playing with kids. Hopefully his sickness will pass by soon so I can send him off to play and stop turing on movies to entertain him. It's been really hard to keep him truly entertained while mom has to stay in bed and dad has to work. Driving cars and chugging trains on pillows and blankets gets pretty old after 4 weeks. And Reading the same books over and over again is so boring for him . . . it's time to send Sam to the library with dad again to check out some new books.
