The Words of Sam . . .
Sam's most commonly used phrases these days will be fun for us to remember years down the road.
• "My Babies" (said in a high-sqeak voice, with little tickle monster hand figurines standing tall)
• I'm right here
• Thanks, You're the best
• Chase me
• I don wano (I don't want to)
• Oh No! (said with real sadness, and emphasis on each word)
Sam is 2 and a half years old. He is starting to mimic the behavior of others in a serious manner. His speech development is on it's way. He is starting to put lots of words together to make long sentences, and he doesn't shy away from using large words like "Spectacular".
Sam enjoys taking care of his little stuffed animals (white dog, kitty, happy and sad Tigger). Froggy blanket is still the most favorite of all when taking a nap or going to bed at night.
Apparently Sam has a Happy-Tigger and a Sad-Tigger. Happy-Tigger is the original Tigger that has been with Sam for 2 years now, the one that he picked out all by himself. Happy-Tigger is getting pretty raggedy and old, but he's a favorite. Sad-Tigger is the back-up Tigger, the PlanB Tigger. We are not sure why Sam named him the Sad-Tigger. We hope to get an answer to that question, someday.
Trains are the current obsession. Thomas "The #1 Blue Engine", and James "The #5 Red Engine" are Sam's favorite engines. Although the whole Thomas and Friends character line is probably the most boring cartoon out there, it's a favorite for many children. It has helped Sam learn his colors and has taught him about different feeling and emotions someone might feel.
Building trains, driving trains, watching train movies, singing train songs, reading train books and the whole world of imagination consists of trains. Sam has 1 Thomas shirt (shown in picture), and 1 pair of Thomas pajamas. Sam would wear his Thomas shirt every day if it weren't for mom restricting him. Having Thomas pajamas sure makes getting ready for bed really easy.
Sam says his prayers at night before bed, so that we can read a story book together. Praying for good dreams is a necessary every night. His sweet prayers for good dreams really help Sam to not wake up with bad dreams; what a blessing. 6:00am is Sam's internal clock alarm. James and I trade off getting up with Sam in the morning, so that one of us can have a little sleep in.
Life is Good! We are very happy and very blessed. As much as we try to thank the Lord in our prayers daily and try to comprehend the extent of our blessings, we cannot thank the Lord enough for all he has blessed us with. In our life there is no better partner to have on our team. With the Lord anything is possible.
