Our Independence Day Celebration

Provo is a wonderful place to live! The festivities in Provo were quite enjoyable. On July 3rd at 7:00 am we drove to the Balloon Festival. We were late for the take off but just in time for the landing of the balloons. It was fun to help collapse one of the hot air balloons, right in the middle of the street. On July 4th 6:30 am, we went to the balloon festival again, a little earlier to see all the balloons take off. There were tons of people, tons of balloons, and it was a ton of fun. The balloon route was planned out with the wind currents down to the minute, and it was incredible.
Luckily we were able to borrow the Richmond's baby bike trailer for Sam. We rode our bikes to the Art festival down on Center Street. Driving a car in Provo on July 4th is a bad idea!
Carolyn met us down on Center street to enjoy the festival as well. Thanks to Angie's mom we were treated to a tiny, but refreshing snow-cone, then to a wonderful lunch.
We topped of the day with some of James' family, a BBQ and a firework show.
The Stadium of Fire sure puts on a good show!

Aaargh. I am so bummed we missed out. Unfortunately we were held hostage by our beds until about 9:00 am.
