Camping is Good for the Soul

This was Sam's first camp trip, and he loved it. We drove though Heber, and towards Mill-hollow, then turned up on Duchene Ridge. Camping out in the wild is our favorite, we avoid campgrounds at all costs. We ate taco's and too many Smores for dinner. We sat around the fire and sang songs, we also listened to the coyotes howling at the full moon.
Sleeping was a little hard because mom and dad were worried about Sam getting cold. We have never slept right next to Sam, so all the wiggles were hard to sleep through. Luckily Sam only woke up and cried once in the night.

We all love to be outside.

Dad,Trace, Haley, and Sam waiting patiently for peach cobbler.

The morning was wonderful, the overcast weather was perfect. It was fun to be around the fire in the morning to keep warm. For breakfast we ate a combination of things . . . Eggs and ham, banana blueberry muffins, peach cobbler, and marshins. James waited for the perfect breakfast all morning, but he starved. There were no bear visitations.

  1. so fun. Story's first couple months of life she slept right next to her dad, she does that when she's sick too, so we're really used to it. :0)
