Yellowstone National Park
Camping Wahoo!

When we arrived in Yellowstone at 3:00 am we had no choice but to sleep in the car. At 5:00 am we woke up and decided to get moving before we got in trouble by the ranger.
We Only got 2 Hours of sleep AHHHH!
Finally we found a campsite and set up our tent. It was a pretty rough morning trying to sleep through our campsite neighbors fighting all morning. We got our sleepy bodies up for the day packed up our camp gear and went sight seeing.

The geysers were "Oh so beautiful" and Very Smelly!
"Lizard Creek" campground was our Most Favorite Spot because only tents were allowed!
There was a night time visitor who tried to get into our secure food box. It was a little scary but we were too tired to worry about it. Besides we heard the ranger talking to someone near by when he said "I was just scaring the BEAR out of the campground". It was nice to have someone else around to scare it away!
After our good night sleep at "Lizard Creek" we packed up camp and headed our for more site seeing. and bike riding. In the middle of the day we got over heated, so we went swimming even though we were not dressed for the occasion. Usually everyone's favorite site is the geyser "Old Faithful", but James' favorite geyser was "Old Angful" Ha Ha (see photo below).

TETON NATIONAL PARK
We spent some time in Jackson Hole for the day and went to the Art Festival.
The highlight of the day . . . . was riding the ski lift up the mountain and Mountain Biking down the mountain. It was all fun and games until someone got hurt. No worries it was only Angie's bike tire.
By the end of the day we decided that a good rest in a hotel sounded heavenly! We headed to Idaho Falls where the hotel prices were more affordable.
We stayed in a very nice hotel along the river, across the street from the beautiful temple. There was a Pool, King Suite, and Breakfast in the morning; all for a lower price than the dive we almost took in Jackson Hole.

We were talking about Yellowstone just this evening with some friends who are headed up there in the next couple of weeks. Fer fun!!
ReplyDeleteLast time I was there it was with James and the whole Munnerlyn clan. We played a lot of sipa.
Thanks for sharing the good times! I agree that Old Angfull looks pretty spectacular. And probably not as smelly as the other geysers. Maybe because she's a girlser?
Fun pictures! We love Yellowstone, I'm jealous. Angie you are looking so cute!!! Are you finding out what you are having soon? I hope it's a girl, they are soooo fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun adventures you are having! Get them all out of the way, because when you have a newborn just going to the grocerey store all by yourself will feel like a great adventure! He He. Love Laura
